Farm Days Gone By

Leonard Seltzer said we were way off base with the information provided for the Farm Days Gone By picture in the January 19 edition of Farmers Weekly Review. Had we not been missing from school the day we studied reading, we would have gotten it right. So, here goes: Willard Seltzer and his dog, Sport, do some disking in 1926 on the Manhattan Township farm owned by his Dad, William L. Seltzer. Willard and Sport were using an eight-horse mule/hitch lead my mules, Jack and Jinny. Word is, when Sport wasn't helping with farm chores, he was a pretty fair baseball player, who could catch balls on the fly.
