Farmers Weekly Review

The 109^th Will County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting will be held at the North end of the Peotone Atrium at the Will County Fairgrounds on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Tickets to this event are $25.00 per person. The annual meeting social hour will begin from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. There will be a business meeting beginning at 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm with dinner being served at 6:00 pm. The meal is catered by Hog Wild. Awards and the manager’s report will begin at 7:10 pm. (Schedule is noted below). Deadline for tickets is January 20, 2023.

This is the 33rd year for the Foundation Board’s Silent Auction since the Foundation has been in existence (since 1988). The silent auction will be held on-line again beginning January 18^th and will close at 9:00 pm on February 1^st. All proceeds from the silent auction will provide scholarships in 2023 to worthy graduating seniors as well as current college/graduate students of our Will County Farm Bureau members. Information will be posted on the Farm Bureau website shortly after January 1^st on how to bid on the auction items and it will be published in the Farmers Weekly Review beginning January 5, 2023. Approximately 3-4 additional items will also be raffled off that evening and tickets sold for them the night of the silent auction (items to be determined at a later date).

The evening will continue with an ice cream social and game night, including bingo and euchre games following the meeting. Stop by the Farm Bureau office today to get your annual meeting tickets.

The agenda for the annual meeting for 2023 will be as follows:

4:30 pm: Doors open/Social hour.

4:30 pm: Raffles begin.

5:15 pm: Dinner

5:30 pm: Business meeting begins with FFA flag ceremony, pledge & prayer.

5:40 – 6:00 pm: Call meeting to order and review minutes and financials, introduce guests, nomination report and retirement awards presented.

6:10 – 7:00 pm: Meal is served banquet style and catered by Hog Wild.

7:10 – 7:50 pm: Business meeting resumes, introduction of the 2022 Scholarship winners and Foundation report, manager’s report, Government awards and special awards.

7:50 pm: Game night begins (Euchre and Bingo)

8:30 pm: Raffle winners announced (appr 3-4 items)

9:00 pm: Annual meeting concludes

Tickets for the annual meeting are $25.00 per person and can be reserved by calling the Will County Farm Bureau office at 815-727-4811. Deadline for reserving your tickets and making payment on your reservations is January 20^th. Farm Bureau does take credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and Discover) so you can make payment over the phone when reserving your tickets.
