Joliet American Legion Band Seeks Members
The Joliet American Legion Band is seeking musicians in a wide range of instrumental experience.
Additionally, there are also openings for becoming a color guard, which being a veteran or
currently serving in the armed forces is required for this position only. Weekly rehearsal is held
each Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. sharp to 9 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 2321 Essington Road,
Joliet. Music folders, stands and seating are provided. Please contact band member Matt Witt at

• Weekly Prayer Breakfast
A weekly men’s testimony prayer breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Thursdays at the Silver Dollar
restaurant in Elwood. For more information, call 815 302 2050.
• Free Veteran Breakfasts at Teardrop
Gina’s Teardrop Cafe, 826 W Laraway Road, New Lenox, hosts a free breakfast for veterans from 6:30 to 8 a.m. on the last Monday of each month.
• Free Veterans Breakfast at Roadhouse 52
Veterans eat free from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. every second Monday of the month at Roadhouse 52 in
Manhattan. Sponsored by the Molloy State Farm team, breakfast will be followed by
the monthly Manhattan Chamber business meeting.
