Plainfield ComeYounity Day to Honor the Memory of Wadee AlFayoumi

AMAN USA Inc. (American Muslims Assisting Neighbors), a Plainfield-based nonprofit organization, invites the community to attend *Plainfield ComeYounity Day from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Settlers’ Park in Plainfield.
The US Senate recently unanimously passed the Wadee Act, condemning all forms of hate.
This special event in Plainfield will honor the memory of 6-year-old Wadee AlFayoumi, whose tragic death last year at the hands of a hate-fueled individual left a deep scar on the community.
In response to this heartbreaking act of violence, the Plainfield community will come together to celebrate unity, resilience and mutual good will.
The event is supported by Chi-Care, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing food security to vulnerable unhoused populations in the Chicagoland area through hot meals and essential services, as well as the Plainfield Community Alliance, a non-denominational, non-political organization with the goal of fostering unity, collaboration, and empowerment within the Plainfield community.
All members of the Plainfield and surrounding communities and community service organizations are invited to participate in an afternoon of camaraderie, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations. Through this gathering, AMAN USA Inc. aims to promote healing and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
