Grow Your Own Garlic Class October 3

Did you know you could grow your garlic right here in Northern Illinois? Did you know many varieties of garlic have very different flavor traits: mild, some robust, and even some spicy?

Both are true! In our area, garlic is planted in the fall. So this is the perfect time to learn all about it and get a supply of four different types of garlic to plant in mid-October.

Join University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Nancy Kuhajda on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6-7 p.m. at the Will County Extension Office, 100 Manhattan Road, Joliet, for a lively hour of learning all about garlic.

Each participant will receive different types of garlic cloves, educational materials, plant markers, and recipes. Registration is $10 per person. Register online at https://go.illinois.edu/growgarlic or by calling or stopping by the Will County Extension Office.
If you have questions, contact Nancy Kuhajda at [email protected] or call 815 727 9296.
