Illinois Sheriff’s Association Announces Scholarships
The Illinois Sheriff’s Association is announcing that it will be awarding over $58,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarships are to be applied to tuition, books and fees only. The student must be a permanent Illinois resident, and enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the state. Full-time online learning is acceptable.
Sheriff Mike Kelley will be awarding three scholarships in the amount of $500 each. There is no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
Applications are now available on the Illinois Sheriff’s Association website at www.ilsheriff.org
Students must complete the application, answer the essay question, and return all documents to the Sheriff’s Office by March 15, 2024. Drop off or mail your application to: Will County Sheriff, Public Safety Complex, 16911 W. Laraway Road, Joliet, IL 60433.
